Looking to Guide in Alberta

My name is Grégoire Romens. I am a French student who has lived in Quebec since 2022. I am reaching out to submit my application for a hunting guide position in Alberta’s outfitting industry. I am in my final year of the Hunting and Fishing Development Techniques program at Cégep de Baie-Comeau and will graduate in April. I am actively seeking a hunting guide or assistant position in Western Canada,
I hold a valid work permit until August 2025 and plan to renew it for an additional three years upon graduation in April. My passion for hunting, fishing, and nature drives me to pursue a career as a guide, sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge with others. I am also open to an assistant position to further develop my skills and experience in the field.
I have some experience in the outfitting industry, having previously worked at an outfitter in Quebec. In terms of hunting experience, I have personally hunted black bear, moose, and ducks in Quebec, as well as wild boar and roe deer in France. My studies have also provided me with both theoretical and practical training in hunting, including outdoor courses where I learned various hunting techniques, moose and duck calling, and strategic hunting approaches under the guidance of experienced instructors.
If my profile interests you, I would be happy to discuss further.

Seeking Seasonal Camp Cook/ Season Pre-Cook Gigs

Three (3) years hunt camp cook experience for groups up to 20. Twenty years of hospitality and tourism industry experience. Thrive off grid. Wood stove cooking/baking. Game meat expertise. Top notch service. Will reduce your food cost with the background of restaurant management, business, and growing up cooking in German and Ukrainian farm families. Yes, that means homemade perogies!
Your clients will rave about your food and service. I will save you money. I go over and above and will only work for those that do the same. Open to:
• On-site cook for any 2025 season or fill-in if your regular cook needs a break
• Pre-season cook prep on your site (using your meat), or delivery – baking, premade freezer meals, and inventory/plan personalized for you. Ask me about what one group of moose hunters calls “magic pockets”.
• Menu planning if self-cooking. I know where you spend too much money to save time and have solutions. A few hours of my time can save you 1000s this season.
• Various professional admin and marketing functions too.
